Bhumkar chowk to Hinjawadi Shivaji chowk road problem solved
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation’s PRJ 31 road Hinjawadi IT Park and Bhosari Chikhali MIDC link road congestion problem at Bhumkar chowk is resolved, informed the civic authorities. The narrow road at Bhumkar chowk caused severe vehicle congestion at the location. Shekhar Singh, PCMC commissioner undertook a site visit at the location on March 25, 2023. Upon visiting the location it was discovered that the road needs to be widened as per 30 meter widening but since the plot was under litigation the widening could not take place.
The Additional Commissioner Zone 2 under the guidance of Commissioner, town planning, projects department, and the plot owner held a joint meeting. The plot owner was asked to hand over the plot to widen the road which will reduce the congestion. The plot owner has agreed to handover the road and now soon the widening of the road will take place. The road widening was stuck since 2015 . Once the road is widened, the traffic congestion at Bhumkar chowk and Shivaji chowk in Hinjawadi will be resolved.
Pramod Ombase, associate city engineer, PCMC said that the road will be widened soon. This will regulate the traffic and help the citizens in reaching faster to their destination.
