In a heart-wrenching incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, a one-and-a-half-year-old girl was tragically crushed to death by an SUV in a shopping mall’s parking lot. The devastating event, which took place on Tuesday, August 6, at approximately 10 PM, was captured on CCTV and is now circulating on social media.
The young victim, identified as Rudrika, was with her family at Cosmos Mall when the incident occurred. Her parents, Jaideep and his wife, had brought their two children, including their 10-year-old son, for an evening of shopping. As they were in the parking area, the unsupervised toddler tragically came into the path of an SUV, a silver Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, bearing a Firozabad license plate.

The horrifying footage shows the child being run over by the SUV, with her parents initially unaware of the tragedy unfolding before them. The mother only realized what had happened when she heard her daughter’s cries, prompting her to rush to the scene and pull the child from under the vehicle. The father, in shock, is seen holding his daughter as bystanders gather to assist.
In a desperate bid to save her, the family used the same vehicle to rush her to the hospital. Unfortunately, doctors pronounced the child dead upon arrival. The SUV driver, who had initially helped transport the family, fled the scene afterward.
A police complaint has been lodged by the family, and authorities are currently searching for the driver. They are also analyzing the mall’s CCTV footage as part of their investigation. It was noted that the vehicle did not receive a parking token, and the family has raised concerns about possible negligence on the part of the mall staff.
