The Water Supply Department of the Pune Municipal Corporation has announced that the water supply to the Pune Railway Station area will be closed on Friday, August 16. The shutdown is due to repair work on the main water channel in the Sassoon Hospital area, which burst recently.

The affected areas include Pune Railway Station, Somwar Peth, Mangalwar Peth, Garpir Vasti, Pandhara Ganpati Area, Somwar Peth Police Colony, Barke Ali, Saraswat Colony, Ghodmala Area, Jedhe Park, Sassoon Hospital, Sancheti Hospital, and surrounding areas on Ganeshkhind Road, Old Pune-Mumbai road, and Mula road.

Residents in these areas can expect a water supply shutdown on Friday, with a possibility of low-pressure water supply on Saturday, August 17, in the late morning hours. The Water Supply Department has appealed to residents to cooperate and make necessary arrangements during this period.

The repair work is expected to be completed by Saturday, and normal water supply is likely to resume thereafter. Residents are advised to stock up on water for essential use during the shutdown period.
