In a heartbreaking incident in Pune’s Wagholi area, a woman identified as Kunda Adinath Dhus (56) tragically committed suicide, allegedly due to a property dispute. The Lonikand police station confirmed that a case has been registered against her brother and two others for abetting suicide. The deceased woman’s daughter, Anupama Sukre (33), filed the case at the Lonikand police station, residing in Sutarwadi, Pashan.

Kunda, who had four married daughters, had been embroiled in a dispute with her brother, Sanjay Thange (50), over ancestral property. Recently, she had come to stay with her daughter in Wagholi. However, the situation took a tragic turn when she ended her life by hanging herself.

In her complaint, Anupama alleged that her mother was driven to this extreme step due to harassment by her maternal uncle and relatives regarding the property dispute. Investigating Officer Chetan Thorbole confirmed that the police have launched an investigation based on Anupama’s complaint, under the guidance of Senior Police Inspector Kailas Kare.

The case highlights the devastating consequences of unresolved family disputes and underscores the need for peaceful resolution methods to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
