Traffic has been diverted through the new tunnel
Pune: Rajesh Deshmukh, district collector has issued an order that traffic on the old Katraj Ghat road from Satara to Pune will be closed and the traffic will be diverted to Pune through the new tunnel.
The work of strengthening the road is going on at Pune Katraj- Shindewadi Road State (Road No. 126) i.e. the old Katraj Ghat Road.
The measures have been taken keeping in mind the possibility of traffic jams and accidents due to double traffic as the asphalt surface reinforcement work is going on.
Accordingly, from 3rd to 31st December 2022, traffic coming from Satara will be diverted to Pune via Daripool through the new tunnel.
