Television actor Simran Budharup recently posted a video on Instagram that has garnered significant attention. The footage depicts her being forcibly pushed away by the staff at the Pandal of Lalbaugcha Raja after she confronted them for taking her mother’s phone. The post quickly went viral.

In addition, she shared a detailed message on her Instagram account, expressing her disappointment: “Today, I visited Lalbagh Cha Raja with my mother to seek blessings, but our experience was marred by the unacceptable behavior of the staff. A man from the organization snatched my mother’s phone while she was clicking the picture (she was in the queue behind me not that she was taking any extra time as it was my turn for the Darshan), and when she tried to retrieve it, he pushed her.”

Simran attempted to intervene, only to be met with further aggression from the Pandal staff. She aimed to document the incident with her phone, but they attempted to take it from her as well. They ceased their actions upon realizing her identity as an actress.

“So, these female bouncers came and they just pushed me out. I got furious so I started recording it and the female bouncer tried snatching my phone as well. She said ‘your mother is no special,” she explains.

As the post gained traction, many individuals rallied in support of Simran, criticizing the staff at Lalbaugcha Raja.

“This incident highlights the need for awareness and accountability. People visit such places with good intentions, seeking positivity and blessings. Instead, we were met with aggression and disrespect. I understand that managing crowds is challenging, but it’s the staff’s responsibility to maintain order without misbehaving or harming devotees (sic),” she elaborated.

The actress renowned for her performance in Pandya Store emphasizes that the purpose of sharing this video is to raise awareness about the importance of treating individuals with the dignity and respect they rightfully deserve.

The uniqueness of Lalbaugcha Raja lies in its size and posture. While the idol is recognized as the tallest in the country at 14 feet, it is the elegant yet impressive outline that sets Lalbaugcha Raja apart. Lalbaugcha Raja is more than just an idol—it’s a symbol of unwavering faith, extraordinary craftsmanship, and the lively essence of Mumbai’s spirit.
