The Parvati police have booked two individuals, Pandurang Gajanan Chaudhary (41) and Chelaram Lakaram Khanariya (38), for illegally selling and storing domestic LPG cylinders and mini LPG gas cylinders in the area.

According to the police, the accused were operating without any legal permit or authorization from the government, posing severe safety risks and devastating consequences to citizens. The improper handling of the gas cylinders could have potentially caused a cylinder gas explosion.

The police have invoked Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) section 287 against the accused in the FIR lodged on December 1. The accused were using tempo transport to store and sell the LPG cylinders, further increasing the risk of accidents.

The arrest comes after the police received complaints about the illegal sale and storage of LPG cylinders in the area. The police have warned of strict action against anyone found involved in such illegal activities, which pose a significant threat to public safety.
