Two special trains to run between Mumbai and Velankanni for Vailankanni festival

Central Railway has decided to run 2 special trains between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Velankanni to clear the extra rush of passengers due to Vailankanni Festival. The details of services are as under:

01161 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.00 hrs on 26.8.2023 and will arrive Velankanni at 20.35 hrs next day.

01162 special will leave Velankanni at 06.00 hrs on 28.8.2023 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 16.30 hrs next day.

01163 special will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.40 hrs on 06.9.2023 and will arrive Velankanni at 00.30 hrs third day.

01164 special will leave Velankanni at 23.50 hrs on 08.9.2023 and will arrive Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.00 hrs third day.

*Halts for both trains:* Thane, Kalyan, Lonavala, Pune, Daund, Solapur, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Raichur, Mantralayam Road, Guntakal, Tadipatri Cuddapah, Renigunta, Katpadi, Vellore Cantonment, Tiruvannamalai, Villupuram, Cuddalore Port, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi Mayiladuthurai , Tiruvarur and Nagapatinan

*Composition for both trains:* One First AC cum AC-2 Tier, One AC-2 Tier, Two AC-3 Tier, 11 Sleeper class and 7 General second class including 2 guard’s brake vans.

*Reservation:* Bookings for the special trains no. *01161 & 01163* on special charges will open from 10.08.2023 at all computerised reservations centres and on website www.irctc.co.in
