Uncle dies along with niece in accident while going towards Mohatadevi

Pune: Two persons succumbed to injuries along with an 8-month-old baby girl while six others were injured in an accident while going in a car to visit Mohatadevi. The accident occurred near Manur village at around 11 am on August 25. 

As per information, the Naiknavare family of Taradgaon along with an 8-month-old baby girl and relatives were going to Mohatadevi in their car.  As the month of Shravan is going on, the family members insisted on going for the darshan of Mohatadevi. While going for the darshan, the accident happened where 2 people succumbed to the injuries. The injured were first treated at Shirur Rural Hospital and later shifted to Beed District Hospital. As per information, one of the deceased was in the business of cane crushing in Taagadgaon. His sister & niece had come from Mumbai to meet him.

The accident took place near Manur village. Meanwhile, Bhausaheb Shirsat, Assistant Police Inspector of Shirur police station, was coming on a two-wheeler when he saw the accident. He immediately informed the Shirur police station for an ambulance.

This act of kindness resulted in getting the injured patients admitted to the hospital for immediate treatment. Assistant Police Inspector of Shirur Police Station Ganesh Dhokarat visited the spot and inspected the site.

Police are further investigating the accident.
