Over 1,000 Flights at Delhi Airport could be affected ahead of G20 summit in September; check details here

Pune: Before the G20 Summit to be held in the national capital of Delhi in September, the Central Government has mandated airlines to reduce frequency by one-quarter during the summit. As a result, more than a thousand flights are likely to be cancelled or rescheduled.

As per the information, the order has been issued in response to the parking restrictions at Delhi Airport. Furthermore, the government has requested the airlines to transfer certain of their aircraft to airports in other cities in view of the G20 Summit. The summit is scheduled to take place in Delhi from September 9. Meanwhile, airline representatives have warned of nationwide network disruption, resulting in flight cancellations due to Delhi being India’s main airport.

The G20 Summit will be held in Delhi and more than 50 planes will be flying in for the summit, including Joe Biden, President of the United States of America, Rishi Sunak, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China & several other notable delegates.
