Undri citizens to hold protest against inflated property tax bills on December 20

Residents of Undri village have come together to protest against the inflated property tax bills. The protest will be held on December 20 at 10 AM at Hanuman Mandir chowk, Undri gaon bus stop, Undri.

The protest has been organized by Undri Gaon Sangharsh Samiti (Undri Village Action Committee).

A meeting was held recently with Vikram Kumar, Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation wherein a committee was formed for 11 newly merged villages in PMC limits to resolve property tax issues. The property tax department officials will be available on Tuesday and Thursday between 11 AM to 2 PM to rectify the issues in property tax.

Rajendra Bhintade, a Bharatiya Janata Party member from Undri informed that the strike is organised by members of all parties.

Sachin Ghule, a Nationalist Congress Party leader from Undri informed that we are holding this protest to ensure that property tax is revised. We are hoping that PMC rethinks upon it’s decision.

Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) leader from Undri, Swati Takle said that we recently met former minister for state Vijay Shivtare and a decision was taken by PMC to form a committee who will look into property tax issues. Residents can avail this facility set up PMC headquarters on every Tuesday and Thursday between 11 AM and 2 PM.
