Undri resident struggles to remove accumulated water from his house

Heavy rainfall that lashed Pune city entered many houses across Pune city. Roshan Kad, a resident of Undri saw three feet of water entering his house in Kad Nagar in Undri.

Rajendra Bhintade, a social activist from the neighbourhood informed that since the natural flow of water such as nullahs have been closed by builders and built huge rise towers have resulted in this state. Water enters into homes located in low lying areas. I spoke personally to the PMC’s drainage and storm water department officials and broke the retaining wall so that the water could flow ahead.

Residents Roshan Kad, Vijay Kad, Vitthal Bhintade, Satish Gaikwad, Dilip Kad, Kishor Pokale, Avinash Takle, Dadasaheb Kad, Omkar Hole, Sachin Bhintade were present when the officials came to visit the area, informed Rajendra Bhintade.
