Undri to get its first public garden soon

For the first time, residents of Undri will get a public garden soon. The announcement was made in a function held on June 4 at Undri chowk for the foundation laying of various development projects in Undri.

The foundation was laid for development projects worth Rs 2 crores to be implemented in Undri. Member of Parliament Baramati constituency Supriya Sule and Member of Legislative Assembly Purandar constituency Sanjay Jagtap laid foundation for a public garden on a plot near Godrej Horizon and Bhoomi Springtown in Undri.

Other development projects such as construction of safety wall near Sanskriti school and barricades alongside the nullah near Hills N Dales, road development in Undri are some of the works initiated by Sanjay Jagtap which will be executed in the area soon.

Sanjay Jagtap, MLA Purandar Constituency in his speech said that the area was lacking public amenities and garden was one of them. He stated, “Through MLA funds we will soon have a state of the art garden spread across an area of approximately one acre alongwith a sports complex.” He further said, “Funds of Rs 50 lakhs have been allotted for a garden in this area near Godrej Horizon. I have spoken with the Pune Municipal Corporation Commissioner and we will have a sports complex for the residents in the same premises too.”

The residents of Undri are grappled with water woes, inflated tax bills and other facilities. While addressing the citizens Supriya Sule said, “The issue of water woes and inflated tax bills is taken up with the higher authorities in the state government. Soon a decision on these issues will be taken.”

Supriya Sule urges to plant trees to increase green cover of Undri

Sule also urged people to curb using single use plastic and instead requested to plant one tree atleast which will help in reducing the heat and increasing the green cover.

The foundation laying program was attended by Sachin Ghule, Shweta Ghule, Nivrutti Bandal, Sachin Punekar, residents of Nyati Eternity, Casa Vibrante, Mangowoods, Little Hearts, Godrej Prana, Atur Nagar, Nyati Esteban and many others.

Speaking about the tax issues faced by the residents of Undri, Jagtap said that a firm decision is expected by June 7 in a meeting to be held in Mumbai shortly.

Sule in her speech stated that a joint meeting with the MLA and local residents of 16 (villages) wards coming under Purandar Constituency will soon have one on one discussion on issues from the area and how they can resolved will be held soon.

Roads near Karishma Platinum, Silver Oak society, Ambekar hotel road, Jagdambha Bhavan road, Chirpier Aipish, Tata Inora, Godrej society road, Survey No 47, Survey No 42 Sainik Vihar road, Open Gym in Undri, Safety wall near Sanskriti school near Hills N Dales and Undri Pisoli Road will be made soon.
