Pune: The Bishop School in Undri released an order on Friday making it compulsory for parents to wear helmets while dropping their kids to school on two-wheelers.

As per further information from that order, it has been observed that, despite several reminders, most of the parents who drop their ward/wards at school do not wear helmets. Therefore, all the parents have been requested by the school to strictly adhere to the instructions failing which entry into the school campus will not be allowed.

Concerns have also been raised about traffic congestion at the school’s entrance and exit points, mainly due to parents parking in front of the school gates and walking their kids to and from the school buildings.

Such activities pose a risk to the safety and well-being of students and obstruct the security staff’s ability to keep track of children coming and going through the gates. To combat this, the school administration has encouraged parents to bring their children’s helmets and to use the school’s designated parking areas to better control entry and exit points.

The school administration expressed its appreciation for the parents’ continued engagement and support in maintaining traffic safety protocols within the school environment.
