17-yr-old boy injured by kite’s nylon string in Nashik

Nashik, Oct 7:  A 17-year-old boy has been undergoing treatment in a private hospital for injuries sustained after his throat was slit by a kite’s nylon ‘manja’ (thread) in Dwarka area of the city.
On Thursday evening, injured Aweez Rauf Syed (of Naikwadi Pura, Nashik) was going for his personal work on his bike from Bhabha Nagar near Dwarka area, when the nylon string was entangled around his neck.

Due to the speed of the bike, Syed’s throat was slit and he fell down from the bike, police said.
The passers-by immediately rushed the injured boy to a private hospital in the area.
After surgery, Syed’s condition is stable and out of danger, sources added.
