In preparation for the Maharashtra Assembly elections, all political parties have ramped up their campaigns. Key leaders from different regions are set to hold rallies across the state to support their candidates. The Mahayuti (Grand Alliance) will feature prominent leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari. Meanwhile, the Mahavikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance will have Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, senior NCP leader Sharad Pawar, MP Amol Kolhe, Jayant Patil, Shiv Sena (Thackeray faction) leader Uddhav Thackeray, and MP Sanjay Raut campaigning in various constituencies.

In Vadgaon Sheri constituency, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate and state general secretary Hulgesh Chalwadi is backed by a high-profile rally featuring former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and BSP leader Mayawati. This rally will take place on November 17 at the Yerawada Regional Mental Hospital Grounds. Party workers and leaders are energetically preparing for the event.

The BSP has fielded candidates in Maharashtra to gain representation in the state’s legislative assembly, aiming to support marginalized communities through leadership representation, a goal championed by BSP founder Kanshi Ram to fulfill Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s vision of empowering oppressed communities. The BSP has extended its support for the Maratha reservation, and recently, Chalwadi invited Maratha reservation movement leader Manoj Jarange to Mayawati’s upcoming rally in Yerawada. BSP state secretary Sudip Gaikwad and Swapnil Shirke were present during the invitation meeting.
