The Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board (UTDB) has taken a noteworthy step to enhance the global appeal of the scenic Adi Kailash and Om Parvat regions by launching the “Home of the Himalayas” initiative.

This strategic move is executed in collaboration with Prime Focus Technologies (PFT), which intends to position Uttarakhand as a premier tourism destination by leveraging high-quality content and innovative branding.

What is the Vision?

The “Home of the Himalayas” initiative is not merely a promotional campaign but a transformative milestone in Uttarakhand’s journey towards global tourism and recognition as a hub and galore for tourists.

Sachin Kurve, CEO of UTDB, eloquently stated, “Through innovation and collaboration, we’re poised to unveil the true essence of our state, inviting the world to experience the unparalleled beauty and spirituality of Uttarakhand.”

To realise this vision, UTDB has partnered with PFT, a company renowned for its prowess in artificial intelligence and exceptional media services. PFT’s expertise in end-to-end creative services, innovative branding strategies and content creation has been instrumental in sculpting a modern yet spiritually resonant image for Uttarakhand. With over seven Oscar Awards under its belt, PFT’s role in this initiative is pivotal.

The Pious Essence of Adi Kailash

Perched in the picturesque Kumaon region, Adi Kailash Mountain is an ideal and much-awed destination for adventurers and nature enthusiasts. The collaborative efforts of UTDB and PFT strive to unmask the mystique of this majestic landscape through a series of visually stunning videos. These videos are meticulously produced, from orchestrating shoots with top-tier equipment in challenging high-altitude terrains to seamless post-production refinement, ensuring that the visuals radiate that excellence.

A highlight of this initiative is the involvement of renowned singer Shubha Mudgal, who has created an evocative lyrical journey set against the serene backdrop of Adi Kailash.

Her voice weaves a tapestry of spiritual and natural grandeur, bringing to life the very soul of this sacred landscape. The song is not just music but a heartfelt homage to truth, godliness and beauty, articulated through Mudgal’s enchanting vocal alchemy.

A Refreshing Brand Identity

The initiative’s core objective is to refresh Uttarakhand’s visual identity and messaging to appeal to new demographics. PFT’s tagline for tourism, “The Home of the Himalayas,” forms the foundation of this ambition.

By crafting a premium and professionally polished product, PFT ensures that Uttarakhand’s rich heritage and diverse landscapes are presented in the best light possible.

Ramki Sankaranarayanan, Founder and Global CEO of PFT, emphasised the importance of this project, stating, “At PFT, we’ve established a dedicated focus on the tourism sector, spearheading creativity and innovation to showcase India’s abundant cultural heritage and natural wonders to the world.”

Empowering Local Talent

Recognising the potential of Uttarakhand’s people, the initiative also includes a comprehensive PFT Training Program designed to equip local talents with the skills necessary for high-quality videography and photography.

This program not only generates employment opportunities but also ensures that the state becomes self-sufficient in content generation, with locals actively promoting Uttarakhand tourism.

Bhaskar Sitholey, Senior Vice President of Techno Creative Solutions at PFT, highlighted this aspect, stating, “Empowering local talent lies at the heart of the ‘Home of the Himalayas’ initiative. By providing training and resources, we hope to nurture a generation of storytellers who will showcase Uttarakhand’s beauty and heritage to the world, ensuring a sustainable and inclusive future for tourism in the state.”

The collaboration between UTDB and PFT is expected to have far-reaching impacts, positioning Uttarakhand as a global tourism hotspot. By showcasing its diverse landscapes, rich heritage and unique tourism experiences, the initiative would attract a wide range of visitors.

The visually stunning content created through this partnership will highlight sweeping panoramic views, lush valleys, vibrant villages and meandering rivers, encapsulating the natural and spiritual beauty of Uttarakhand.

At its core, the “Home of the Himalayas” initiative marks an essential leap forward in Uttarakhand’s efforts to boost tourism. Through innovative branding, high-quality content creation and the empowerment of local talent, the initiative promises to fulfil the wishes of people willing to explore this breathtaking region of the world.

As the collaboration between UTDB and PFT unfolds, the intrigue of Adi Kailash and the broader beauty of Uttarakhand will undoubtedly captivate and inspire global audiences, inviting them to experience the unparalleled charm of the Himalayas.
