Vaishali Hotel Owner's Son-in-Law Arrested for Alleged ₹5 Crore Fraud
Pune: The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) has arrested Vishwajeet Jadhav, son-in-law of Vaishali Hotel owner Jagannath Shetty, for allegedly defrauding his wife, Nikita Shetty. According to Nikita’s complaint, Vishwajeet secured a ₹5 crore loan without her knowledge by forging signatures on property documents.
Following his arrest, he was remanded in police custody until Sunday. However, his lawyer, Pushkar Durge, claimed the matter was a family dispute and argued that Vishwajeet had voluntarily surrendered to the EOW, making police custody unnecessary.
