Former Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Vasant More, eyeing the Lok Sabha (LS) elections in Pune, held discussions with Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) leader Prakash Ambedkar at his residence.

More’s departure from MNS, coupled with the party’s decision not to contest the Pune LS seat, has prompted him to explore independent candidacy. However, should the VBA opt out of the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), there’s a likelihood of More being endorsed by the VBA or running independently with their support.

Ambedkar indicated a forthcoming announcement to the media on April 2, implying a potential collaboration or endorsement. More expressed his interest in contesting LS elections from Pune, emphasizing that his interaction with Ambedkar was the initial step toward potential association with the VBA. The final decision regarding More’s candidacy and alliance with the VBA will unfold in due course.
