In a recent interview, actor Vicky Kaushal expressed his views on stardom, emphasizing that he hasn’t achieved the true definition of stardom yet.

According to Vicky, stardom is defined by the number of people who come to watch a film on its opening day solely for the actor’s presence. He acknowledged that this level of stardom is yet to happen for him, and he is working towards it.

In a nostalgic moment, Vicky also recalled dancing with Hrithik Roshan at the IIFA awards and expressed his admiration for Hrithik, calling him the last person who experienced a phenomenon in terms of stardom.

Vicky also discussed the evolving nature of stardom, comparing the experiences of classic stars like Dilip Kumar, Rajesh Khanna, and Amitabh Bachchan with the contemporary stardom of Shah Rukh Khan.

Vicky believes that the concept of stardom is changing for the current generation, making it more challenging to attain the level of fame seen in the past.

The actor mentioned that the younger generation witnesses trends and popularity every week, but the impact fades quickly. He anticipates that achieving the stardom of the past will be more challenging for this generation.

Vicky Kaushal is currently involved in projects like Laxman Utekar’s period drama “Chhaava” with Rashmika Mandanna and Karan Johar’s untitled production venture opposite Tripti Dimri. Additionally, he will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Love & War” alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.

He was last seen in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki. The film also starred Shah Rukh Khan, Boman Irani, Taapsee Pannu, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover among others.
