Video: Madhuri Dixit Remakes Iconic Look from Hum Aapke Hain Koun
Madhuri Dixit dressed up like she did in the song ‘Didi tera devar deewana’ while shooting for Dance Deewane. The show had a Bollywood-themed episode today, with Bharti Singh also dressing up as Geet from the movie Jab We Met. Bhagyashree was also seen on the set.
About 30 years ago, the movie Hum Aapke Hain Koun, starring Salman Khan and Madhuri Dixit, became very popular. It inspired a book called 14 Songs, 2 Weddings & A Funeral in 2001, which made big Indian weddings with lots of guests famous. The movie also set fashion trends that people still follow today. Madhuri Dixit was seen wearing her famous purple saree while posing for pictures. Bharti asked the photographers what character she looked like today, and they mistakenly said “Cinderella.” This upset Bharti because she was dressed as Geet from Jab We Met, not Cinderella. She then decided not to give any interviews.
In her iconic purple saree, Madhuri Dixit was spotted posing for paparazzi on the set. Interacting with the paparazzi Bharti asked them “Aaj main kya bani hu? (I am dressed like which character today?).” To which joyfully they replied “Cinderella.” This leaves Bharti upset and she then reveals, “Nahi yar, main Geet bani hu, Jab We Met ki. Yar bezzati karwadi, maine nahi dena hai interview (No, I have dressed like Geet from Jab We Met. You insulted me and now I won’t give any interview).”
