A video has emerged from a Pune bus, where a woman bravely defended herself against a drunken man, thrashing him for alleged misbehaviour. A video capturing this event has gone viral on social media, highlighting the woman’s dignity and bravery. This occurrence emphasizes the urgent need for greater awareness about women’s safety. The woman in the video is identified as Priya Lashkare.
As per information, Priya Lashkare, a sports teacher from Shirdi, was traveling on the bus with her husband and children when the drunken man began to harass her. Without hesitation, Priya stood up to him and gave him a solid beating, ensuring her own safety and self-respect.
Following the incident, Priya took the man to the police station at Shaniwar Wada, but unfortunately, the police staff were absent. After struggling for half an hour, she reached out to municipal councilor Ajay Khedekar to report the situation. Eventually, the police arrived, but none of the other women on the bus came forward to assist throughout the ordeal.
Priya shared her thoughts on the incident, stating, “In modern society, it is extremely important for women to come together. There is a need for unity to stop the atrocities against women. If women unite and raise their voices together, such incidents can be stopped.”
