When Kohli arrived at the airport, he initially asked the paparazzi not to take pictures of his wife and children. However, he was quickly surrounded by fans asking for selfies, which left him frustrated as his family was waiting inside the airport. While he agreed to take a few photos, Virat Kohli was heard saying, “Should I keep my family waiting to take selfies with you all?”
The Indian team is all set to begin their Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign later this month, starting on November 22 in Perth. Under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, the team will play five Test matches. This series is vital for India as they look to bounce back from their 0-3 defeat against New Zealand and aim for a place in the World Test Championship final for the third time in a row. To qualify for the final next summer, India must avoid losing and can have no more than one draw in the series.
The Indian team will be leaving for Perth in two batches on November 10 and 11. They will train at the WACA, the old Test venue, which is why Kohli was spotted at Mumbai airport with his family.
