Voters Back Development-Focused Campaign as Jayesh Murkute Reaches Out Across Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus and Mahalunge
Pune, 12 January: In Baner, Balewadi, Pashan, Sus and Mahalunge areas, Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar group) candidate Jayesh Murkute has been conducting an interactive outreach campaign, visiting multiple housing societies and speaking directly with residents about their expectations from the upcoming municipal elections. Many residents expressed clear support, saying their vote was reserved for development-led governance.
During these interactions, residents raised several local issues that have affected day-to-day life, including delays in road repairs, lack of modern health facilities, insufficient play and recreation zones for children, and concerns over rapidly increasing traffic volumes without corresponding infrastructure upgrades. Citizens also highlighted the need for reliable water supply, cleaner public spaces, better waste management systems, and smoother coordination between civic bodies and housing societies.

Several residents pointed out that the area has grown rapidly in recent years but essential services have not kept pace. Local parents emphasized the need for more quality educational institutions, safer sidewalks, and better pedestrian crossings around schools. Senior citizens discussed the absence of accessible community health centers and requested more senior-friendly amenities in public spaces.

Murkute heard the concerns at length and assured residents that a structured and development-driven plan would be implemented if elected. He stressed that development should be planned and future-oriented, especially in fast-growing suburban pockets. He also noted that the party has consistently supported youth workers for over two decades, which has generated enthusiastic participation from young volunteers during the campaign.
The campaign has also focused on building stronger communication between citizens and their local representatives, with Murkute emphasizing transparency in project timelines and civic coordination. Residents appreciated the direct engagement format, saying it allowed them to voice issues without filters.
With continued outreach across several societies in the region, the campaign has strengthened voter confidence and built a stronger support base for Jayesh Murkute ahead of the elections.
