Pimpri Chinchwad police Commissioner, IPS Krishna Prakash, under whom the Pimpri Chinchwad Police department is marching towards the ‘crime-free’ city, had given a green signal to ACP Shrikant Disale to participate in the morning walks with the residents of Pimpri Chinchwad as a measure to participate actively in Community Policing. However, after the previous morning walk session, attended by ACP Shrikant Disale, IPS Krishna Prakash is all set to walk the talk with the citizens in Wakad, as informed by the citizen based group.

The joint initiative by Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society Federation (PCHSF) and Pimpri Chinchwad Police has received a huge applause by the residents and is also expected to deliver a stern message to the anti-social elements, informed Kiran Vadgama, Chairman of Palash CHS.

Pune Pulse reached out to IPS Krishna Prakash, who
said, “It is meant for the citizen and through the citizen. Without the citizens feedback, we can achieve nothing out of it. However, with the way we have received response regarding it, so far, we can possibly say that this drive will be conducted every Tuesday and one of our officer will take note of the citizen feedback.

“While adding more details to the conversation, he said, “Evening Walks or bicycle rides, too, are on cards as those are great for the health and security, as well. While riding our officers will understand the hotspots of crime, and swift action can be expected.”

The route of this initiative shall be shared shortly.
