Wanowrie residents irked over erratic power supply

Pune: Several residents of Wanowrie area faced constant electricity fluctuations on October 19 (Thursday)afternoon.
Similarly, power fluctuations and disruption was also observed on Salunke Vihar road today morning for a few hours. Speaking to Pune Pulse, Abhishek Shinde, Chairman of Ganga Sampatti Society, Wanowrie said, “Electricity fluctuations took place on Thursday. I have an inverter installed in my house, but the issue is there. It has been happening for the past 6 odd months. Electrical appliances cannot be used properly. We have approached the MSEB regarding this and nearby societies have also registered complaints.
“Avinash D’Silva, a resident of Ganga Samruddhi, Wanowrie said, ” There was a continuous fluctuation in electricity since Thursday noon. Although, the electric supply has been restored to normalcy but, every now and then the issue occurs. Also, there are power cuts as well.”
Jigar Shah, Chairman of Sai Royale, Wanowrie said, ” Power fluctuation was too frequent on Thursday. After calling the MSEB helpdesk, the operator said that there would be no further electric disruptions. We are not aware of what the MSEB was up to, but after the call, the issue stopped completely.”
Nishikant Raut, PRO, MSEDCL Pune said, “Our officials went to the spot & were inspecting the fluctuation issue. However, there are no power fluctuations or other issues now. There might have been some technical errors earlier on. However, everything is sorted and the electricity supply is functioning without any issue.”
