Waste collection drive held at Shiv Sai Vishwa society
A waste collection drive was held at Shiv Sai Vishwa Society on 24 April 2022, in Shiva Sai Lane in Pimple Saudagar. The drive named ‘SWaCH V-Collect’ – Building a Culture of Reuse and Recycling’ was arranged with Pimpri Chinchwad Corporation and SWaCH Plus.
In this drive clothes, toys, books, electronic items, footwear, bags, bicycles, utensils, mattresses, cushions etc. were collected. Society residents gave a good response and handed over these items to the volunteers.
“Under Swach Abhiyan run by PCMC the SWaCH V collect drive was arranged in our society. The three R’s – Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle were conducted. In this they collect the reusable items from society and give it to the needy ones. Our society residents arranged for it and soon we will receive a certificate for the same,” said Anand Chaudhary, Chairman, Shiv Sai Vishwa Society.
