Watch: Indian student bleeds profusely in video after attack in US

A distressing incident unfolded in Chicago as an Indian student, Syed Mazahir Ali, was brutally attacked and left bleeding from his nose and mouth. 

In a video, Ali is heard pleading for help after being assaulted by robbers. 

Expressing concern, his family in Hyderabad urges the Indian government to facilitate his wife’s visit to the US.

In her letter to Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, Syeda Ruquliya Fatima Rizvi requested assistance for her husband’s medical treatment, expressing deep worry about his safety in Chicago. 

 Ali, a master’s degree student at Indiana Wesleyan University, was pursued by three attackers near his residence, as seen in CCTV footage.

Narrating the incident, Mr. Ali explains that he was attacked by four people while returning home. His plea for help and concerns about safety echo recent tragedies involving Indian students in the United States. 

The family’s urgent appeal adds to the growing calls for enhanced security measures and support for Indian students abroad.
