Maharashtra is witnessing rapid and significant changes in weather patterns, with rising temperatures following the decline of winter chill. Amid intense heat conditions, especially in Vidarbha, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert, stating that the next three hours will be crucial, with a strong possibility of unseasonal rainfall.

According to the weather department, parts of Chandrapur and Gadchiroli are likely to witness thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rainfall, while Yavatmal may also receive showers. A Yellow Alert has been officially issued for these three districts, urging citizens to remain cautious and follow safety advisories.

In recent days, Maharashtra’s weather has remained highly unstable. While temperatures have soared across the state, cloud cover and rain activity have started appearing in several regions. Earlier, districts like Beed and Parbhani recorded instances of unseasonal rainfall, confirming the changing weather trend.

Meteorological experts have attributed the current conditions to a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal along with moisture-laden winds, which have created a favourable environment for rainfall across Maharashtra. As a result, parts of the Marathwada region are also expected to receive rain in the coming hours.

Authorities have advised residents in alert zones to stay vigilant, avoid open areas during lightning, and take necessary precautions as sudden weather activity may disrupt normal life.
