Maharashtra,January 13: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an important weather alert for Maharashtra for the next 24 hours, warning of sudden changes in weather conditions across the state. A noticeable rise in minimum temperatures has been recorded, with most regions reporting temperatures above 10°C. However, despite the increase, cold conditions are expected to persist, especially during early morning and night hours.

According to IMD forecasts, cloudy weather will continue across Maharashtra for the next two days. The impact of cloud cover has slightly reduced the intensity of the cold wave, particularly in parts of Central Maharashtra and Marathwada, where light rain showers have been reported in isolated areas.

Maharashtra Weather Forecast: Region-Wise Update

Konkan Region:
The Konkan belt is expected to experience partly cloudy weather. In Mumbai, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 33°C, while the minimum temperature may remain close to 20°C. Mild chill will be felt during mornings and nights, whereas humidity is expected to increase during the daytime.

Western Maharashtra:
Cold conditions will be noticeable during early morning hours. Pune city is expected to see mostly clear skies, turning partly cloudy by afternoon or evening. The maximum temperature in Pune is forecast at around 30°C, with the minimum at 14°C. Similar cloudy conditions are expected in Pune and Satara districts.

Marathwada:
Morning hours will remain cold, followed by mostly clear skies later in the day. Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar is likely to record a maximum temperature of 28°C and a minimum of 12°C. Beed and Jalna districts are expected to witness similar weather conditions. Cloud cover has slightly reduced the intensity of nighttime cold in the region.

North Maharashtra:
Early morning chill will continue in North Maharashtra. Nashik is expected to have mostly clear skies, with maximum and minimum temperatures around 28°C and 14°C, respectively. IMD has also predicted the possibility of morning fog in some areas.

Vidarbha:
Although the cold effect persists in Vidarbha, minimum temperatures have shown a marginal rise. Nagpur is expected to record a maximum temperature of 30°C and a minimum of 11°C. Skies will remain mostly clear, with noticeable chill during morning hours.

Health Advisory Amid Weather Fluctuations

IMD has cautioned that frequent temperature fluctuations across Maharashtra may increase the risk of seasonal illnesses such as cold, cough, and fever. Citizens are advised to take necessary precautions, stay warm during colder hours, and monitor local weather updates.
