Weather Alert For November 27: Dust Hazards and Rising Temperatures Hit Maharashtra, IMD Issues Advisory
Pune, 26 November 2025: Maharashtra is facing a sudden shift in weather as dust hazards increase and temperatures rise across the state. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert, warning citizens about partly cloudy skies in several regions and advising caution due to changing conditions.
The northern cold winds that usually bring relief have weakened, causing winter chill to recede completely. On 27 November, much of the state will experience partly cloudy to clear skies, with rising temperatures making the weather noticeably warmer.
City-Wise Forecast:
- Mumbai: Clear skies expected, dry conditions prevail. Maximum temperature may reach 33°C, minimum around 23°C.
- Konkan Region: Predominantly clear skies, dry weather expected.
- Pune (Western Maharashtra): Mostly clear skies, dry conditions. Maximum temperature around 31°C, minimum 16°C. Other western Maharashtra cities are also experiencing warmer days, reducing the chill.
- Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Marathwada): Clear skies expected with maximum temperature 31°C and minimum 15°C. Cities like Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Latur, and Dharashiv are witnessing higher temperatures, leading to warmer conditions.
- Nashik (North Maharashtra): Clear skies with maximum temperature 31°C, minimum 15°C. Northern Maharashtra, previously cold, is now experiencing warmer conditions.
- Nagpur (Vidarbha): Partly cloudy weather likely in the afternoon and evening. Maximum temperature around 30°C, minimum 17°C. Rising temperatures are causing discomfort due to heat.
The overall rise in temperatures has reduced winter chill across the state. Dust hazards and partly cloudy skies in isolated areas may affect daily activities.
Farmers are advised to take extra care of their crops, while residents should stay vigilant about health due to sudden weather changes.
