Pune, Nov 1 ,Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over north interior Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Assam and Meghalaya; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; at many places over Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe, Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam and at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state, Maharashtra, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, south interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Rayalaseema and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 37.7°C was reported at Rajkot (Saurashtra and Kutch).

Night temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh-Delhi, Rajasthan, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Rayalaseema; at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Gujarat state, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. They were below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya and Madhya Maharashtra. Today, the lowest minimum temperature of 11.0°C is reported at Jalgaon (Madhya Maharashtra) over the plains of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at many places in Kerala and Lakshadweep and at a few places in Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka and at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, west Rajasthan, Konkan and Goa, Rayalseema and interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather has prevailed in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
