As summer begins to make its presence felt in most parts of Maharashtra, citizens are experiencing varying weather patterns, adding to the unpredictability.

While the unseasonal rain has gradually subsided in Vidarbha and Marathwada, the aftermath has brought about changes that are puzzling residents. A similar scenario is observed in western and northern Maharashtra, where the morning chill has reduced, and temperatures are on the rise in the afternoon.

The Konkan Coast, despite a decrease in morning chill, faces heightened sunburn sensations due to high humidity. In contrast, certain areas like Niphad and Dhule may encounter sudden temperature drops. The dissipation of a low-pressure area has cleared neighbouring states, signaling clearer weather.

Simultaneously, a cold wave has gripped northern states, including Delhi, Haryana, and Punjab, accompanied by heavy snowfall. The western disturbance is expected to induce dew formation until Saturday. Arunachal Pradesh anticipates rain and snow, while light showers are forecasted for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Kerala, and Odisha.

The Meteorological Department predicted an acceleration of rain and snowfall in the western Himalayas from March 6 to March 7. Additionally, cyclonic winds are forming in Punjab, with an active belt extending towards Chhattisgarh, raising curiosity about their impact on overall weather conditions. This diverse weather underscores the transitional phase between winter and summer, prompting residents to stay informed and adaptable to evolving conditions.
