Residents of Pune and neighboring areas are urged to take precautions as a yellow alert has been issued due to an impending heat wave. The districts likely to be affected include Raigad, Ratnagiri, Nasik, Jalgaon, Beed, and Solapur. From tomorrow onwards, there is a gradual decrease in the maximum temperature expected, providing some relief.

However, hot and humid conditions are still anticipated in Thane, Mumbai, Nandurbar, Dhule, and Pune districts. Moreover, warm nights are expected in Satara, Sangli, and isolated areas of Marathwada.
When going outside during peak hours, it is essential to be cautious of the hot weather. Heat-related issues such as cramps and rashes are likely during peak hours. Therefore, avoid prolonged exposure to the heat.

•Stay hydrated by drinking water regularly, even if you don’t feel thirsty, to prevent dehydration

•Opt for lightweight, light-colored, loose-fitting cotton clothes.

•Cover your head with a wet cloth, hat, or umbrella when going out during peak hours.

•If possible, schedule strenuous activities for cooler times of the day.

•Take frequent breaks and rest in shaded or cooler areas.

•Familiarize yourself with the signs of heat-related illnesses like weakness, dizziness, headache, nausea, sweating, and seizures. Seek medical attention promptly if you experience any of these symptoms.
