The IMD has issued a red alert for Ratnagiri and Satara today, predicting heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and strong winds. Ratnagiri has been experiencing continuous heavy rain for the past week, leading to flood situations with overflowing rivers and streams. Authorities are on high alert, urging citizens to stay vigilant.

Orange Alert for Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Raigad, and Pune

An orange alert has been issued for Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Raigad, and Pune districts. Rain will continue in Mumbai and its suburbs. A yellow alert is in place for Mumbai, Thane, Palghar, Nashik, Dhule, Nandurbar, and Vidarbha, indicating the likelihood of significant rainfall.

Mumbai: Persistent Heavy Rainfall Disrupts Daily Life

Mumbai has been hit hard by relentless rains, leading to substantial flooding in rivers and streams. Urban areas are dealing with severe waterlogging, causing significant inconvenience for residents. Since yesterday, Mumbai has seen a marked increase in rainfall, disrupting road and local train transport. The coastal regions, including Mumbai, are expected to witness intensified rainfall. The weather department predicts this heavy rain will persist for the next three days. As a result, an alert has been issued for 13 districts in the state.
