Maharashtra Weather News: Heavy Rainfall Expected in Mumbai and Multiple Districts
Pune, 8 July 2023: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for Pune district for today and tomorrow.
According to IMD, there is a likelihood of ‘heavy rainfall at isolated places in ghat areas’ in Pune district on July 8 and 9.
The intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease from Monday in Pune, as predicted by IMD. For July 9 and 10, ‘light to moderate rain’ has been forecasted for the Pune district.
In the past 24 hours, the ghat areas in the district have experienced significant rainfall. Tamhini Ghat has recorded 210 mm of rainfall, Lonavala reported 103 mm, and Shirgaon in Maval received 168 mm. However, the city and other parts of the district are yet to receive substantial rainfall.
