Formation of the offshore trough will take place off Maharashtra & Kerala coast which will strengthen the monsoon.  Monsoon progress will be good enough based on advances of both its Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal branches. As a result, the dam areas near Pune may also get good rainfall. Pune will get very light to light rainfall on June 21 and June 22 which is partly cloudy condition. Slowly, from June 23 onwards, light rainfall is expected for Pune which is 2.5 to 15.5 mm in 24 hours, ” said Dr Anupam Kashyapi, Head of Weather Forecasting Division, Indian Meteorological Department, Pune.
