In anticipation of Ganeshotsav on September 7th, many Konkan residents in Mumbai are making plans to return to their hometowns in the Konkan region. Recognizing the high demand, Western Railway has announced the addition of six special trains on the Konkan railway route to facilitate travel for Ganesh devotees.

The decision comes after the reservations for previously announced special trains filled up within minutes. To address this, Western Railway, in collaboration with Konkan Railway, has scheduled these new trains to ensure that devotees can reach Konkan for the festival.

Earlier, Konkan Railway, in collaboration with Central Railway, announced seven special trains. Now, six more Ganapati special trains have been added in collaboration with Western Railway. Reservations for five of these trains—09002, 09010, 09016, 09411, and 09149 will begin on July 28.
