WhatsApp Unveils New Feature for Dual Accounts on a Single Device
WhatsApp has launched an exciting new feature that allows users to have ”Two accounts on the same device at the same time.” It used to be that users could only use one WhatsApp account on each device. However, it’s worth noting that this particular feature is still in the testing phase and is only available currently to WhatsApp beta users. The rollout of this feature is happening gradually.
As of now, the dual-account capability is limited to Android devices, leaving iOS users eagerly waiting for their turn. To set up the feature on an Android phone, users can go to their WhatsApp settings, navigate to the Account section, and click on “Add account.” This prompts users to enter their second phone number and go through the verification process. Once the second WhatsApp account is added, users can easily switch between the two by tapping on the profile picture in the app’s top-left corner and selecting the desired account. What’s more, users can customize privacy and notification settings for each account independently.
