The Dahi Handi festival, a lively event inspired by young Lord Krishna’s playful acts, is coming to Bhosari this year in a grand manner. Celebrating Krishna’s love for curd and butter, this festival features human pyramids reaching for pots of curd hung high. It’s a joyous occasion that highlights teamwork and community spirit.
On Saturday, August 24, 2024, the festival kicks off at 6:00 PM at Shani Mandir Ground, Purnanagar, Chikhli. The event, organized by the Akshay (Babushesth) Newale Bailgada Association and Changlabhala Pratishthan, will set the tone for the festivities with traditional performances and enthusiastic participants.
The following day, Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 7:00 PM, Ramayan Maidan in Jadhavwadi, Chikhli, will host another exciting event. The Jagruti Mahila Foundation organizes this gathering and promises a night filled with cultural displays and the thrill of Dahi Handi.
The excitement continues on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, with several events planned. At 5:00 PM, Sant Tukaram Maharaj Temple, near the water tank in Sant Tukaram Nagar, Alandi Road, Bhosari, will be buzzing with activities organized by Jay Ganesh Yuva Foundation.
At 6:00 PM, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Shri Kshetra Talgaon, Chikhli, will come alive with activities organized by Nagarsevak Shri Kundansheth Gaikwad Yuva Manch.
At the same time, at 6:00 PM, Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk, Moshi will also see the celebration of Dahi Handi
At 7:00 PM, P.M.T. Chowk, Bhosari, Pune, will also join in the fun, with the event organized by Yogesh Sopan Landge / Shri Bhairavnath.
Mahesh Landge, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Bhosari, has emphasized that these events, organized through his colleagues, reflect the community spirit and cultural richness of the area.
