Widening of Katraj-Kondhwa Road Gains Speed as PMC Issues Order for Land Acquisition

Pune: Vikram Kumar, Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)  has instructed officials to speed up the process of land acquisition and perform road widening of the Katraj- Kondhwa road immediately. It is worthy to note that he visited the Katraj Kondhwa road widening site on Tuesday.

As per information, the cost of land acquisition for Katraj-Kondhwa road would be Rs 280 crores. Out of this Rs 200 crore will be taken from the state government. This fund has been approved in the supplementary demand of the Legislative Assembly. Therefore, land acquisition for this road will be done immediately.

It is worthy to note that road widening work will be done in three phases. In the first phase, out of Rs 27 crores, Rs 15 crores will be given to the land owners. In the second phase, 5 acres will be acquired through TDR & FSI. In the third phase, the owners of 36 lands will be given Rs 97 crores.

On this occasion,  Vikas Dhakne, PMC Additional Commissioner, Prashant Waghmare, City Engineer, Vijay Kulkarni, Head of Road Department, Mahesh Patil, Head of Property Department, Former MLA Yogesh Tilekar, Former corporator Prakash Kadam, Sangeeta Thosar, Rajabhau Kadam, Former Sarpanch Venkoji Khopde etc were present.
