Wild Cat Cubs Reunited With Mother In Pimpri Chinchwad's Mamurdi
In a heartwarming rescue operation, three wild cat cubs found in Mamurdi village, Pimpri Chinchwad, were safely reunited with their mother. The increasing overlap of human habitation and wildlife habitats has led to frequent encounters between humans and wildlife in urban areas.
On Saturday, staff at Godrej Society’s plotting premises in Mamurdi discovered two wild cat cubs while cutting grass. They immediately notified Scales and Tales Wildlife Animal Rescue Foundation, Pune. The organization’s members retrieved the cubs, examined them, and found them to be healthy.
Further search revealed a third cub at the scene. To ensure the cubs’ safety, the organization, in collaboration with Rescue Charitable Trust, Pune, devised a plan to reunite them with their mother.
“Since the mother would likely be in the vicinity, we kept the cubs in a safe box at the location,” said Ritesh Sathe of Scales and Tales. “We’re thrilled that the cubs were successfully returned to their mother’s care.”
