On the occasion of Independence Day, 75 special ‘ plantation s’ will be created in the state on the occasion of ‘ Hirak Mahotsava ‘. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar informed that the plantation and conservation of indigenous trees will be made on land owned by Revenue and Forest Department in every taluka of the state, through the government plantation, the plantation and conservation of the indigenous species will be given by the help of ‘Sahyadri Devrai’ Organization.
Meeting on various topics regarding tree plantation of ‘Sahyadri Devrai Samaj Sanstha’ was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. At this time, Forest Minister Sanjay Rathod, President of ‘Sahyadri Devrai’ Social Organization, Cine Actor Sayaji Shinde, Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue Department, Milind Mhaiskar, Upper Chief Secretary of Planning Department, Debashish Chakraborty, Chief Guardian of Social Forestation Department, Dinesh Tyagi, Upper Pradhan Chief Patron Vivek Khandekar was present.
Trees are being planted and conserved across the state for the conservation of nature and forest department will be set up in every taluka at the place of forest department and revenue department. ‘Sahyadri Devrai Social Organization’ will be participating in this work along with Revenue and Forest Department. Through this medium, the plantation and conservation of indigenous species will be promoted.

Similarly, fruit tree gardens will be bloomed in 75 places in the state. Also, the trees will be declared as ‘heritage’ by finding very old trees through the media of government system in the state. A special project will be implemented to create ‘ Ghanavan ‘ in a short time with the help of ‘ Sahyadri Vanrai ‘ model. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar also said that the district high tree meet will be organized across the state and it will be given financial assistance on behalf of the state government.
