In a devastating incident, Dr. Pratiksha Pritam Gaware, a young and ambitious female doctor from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, ended her life after allegedly facing relentless torture and harassment from her husband, Pritam Shankar Gaware. The incident has sent shockwaves across the community, with many demanding justice for the deceased doctor.

Before taking her own life, Dr. Gaware wrote a heart-wrenching seven-page letter detailing the emotional abuse she suffered at the hands of her husband. In the letter, she poured out her feelings, describing how her husband’s constant doubts and accusations had drained her of her confidence and happiness.

Dr. Gaware’s letter reveals a pattern of emotional abuse, with her husband doubting her character, demanding dowry, and controlling her every move. Despite her efforts to please him, he continued to harass her, leaving her feeling trapped and helpless.

After Dr. Gaware’s suicide, her father filed a complaint against Pritam Shankar Gaware at the CIDCO police station, and a case has been registered. Pritam has absconded, and the police are currently searching for him.

The incident highlights the ongoing struggle against domestic violence and abuse faced by women in India. Dr. Gaware’s tragic end serves as a stark reminder of the need for greater support and protection for victims of domestic abuse.

Dear hey

“I loved you so much, loved you dearly. I forgot myself for you. You made a smiling, playful girl like me slow down by harassing her,” she wrote. “You made a self-loving, ambitious girl dependent. I married you with a lot of dreams… but you drowned everything in water by causing trouble.””I didn’t call mommy and daddy yesterday while going to God. I didn’t like it but I controlled it,” she wrote. “I spent money on you before marriage. However, you argued that you gave the money to your parents for the wedding expenses. I earned that money with my hard work and with the help of my parents.”

The letter ends with a heartbreaking goodbye, as Dr. Gaware bids farewell to her loved ones. “I love you so much. bye You are a free bird now.”

You look sweet, stay sweet and if you ever loved me even a little, just give me a tight hug and put me on the pyre. Forget me and live happily for the rest of your life.
