Work at Balasaheb Kunjir sports ground is 90 % complete

Local Corporators of Pimple Saudagar Shatrughan Kate and Nirmala Kute recently visited the Late Balasaheb Kunjir Sports ground located near Rose Icon society in Pimple Saudagar.

This state of the art sportsground has multi sport turf, running track, Senior citizen plaza, basket ball court, toilet blocks, etc. Both Kate and Kute visited the playground to check on the status of work. They also took feedback from some sports personalities from the area to understand the problems and resolve them before the ground is made open for the residents.

The visit to the sportsground saw presence of engineers from PCMC, Macchindra Kate, Bhushan Kate, Chetan Shinde, Aniket Kate and many cricket players.

Pimple Saudagar Corporator Shatrughan Kate said, “The work at the playground is almost 90 percent complete. The maintenance of the ground shall be done by the contractor but it will be run by the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation. It is one of the most advanced playground and also become a landmark of this place. The playground shall be open for public in August this year. “

Nirmala Kute, local Corporator of Pimple Saudagar said, “The work of playground is 90 percent complete. We shall strive hard to keep the standard of the playground for which we have ensured the best materials are used. We are eagerly awaiting to announce that it’s open for public. We have to keep it safe from animals.”
