World Disability Day observed at Wanowrie
A huge rally of 150 members was organised and this was followed by the annual sports day, held at the sanstha.
The society for welfare of the differently-abled persons’ education (Divyang) and medical research centre, Wanwadi, Pune joined hands with Saksham, a Wanowrie-based NGO, to observe the world disability day on December 3, 2022. A huge rally of 150 members was organised and this was followed by the annual sports day, held at the sanstha.
The chief guest of the programme was Mr Shirish Mohite, director, Seva Mitra Mandal; Mr Mangesh Sakpale, forest officer; Mrs Reena Gupta, international handball player and Mr Dinesh Hole, social activist.
The students participated in various games and demonstrated their unique ability. The chairman of the society, Mr. Advocate Murlidhar Kachre delivered the welcome speech focussing on the activities done by the sanstha, while also talking about the programme that was to follow. The winners of different sporting events were facilitated by the chief guest.
