“We have partnered with German architects, scholars and prestigious universities like Fraunhofer University renowned for its research in sustainable and renewable energy resources. Karlsruher Institute of Applied Sciences is another stakeholder that will be working for unharmful air-conditioning in the commercial space of the township. Along with planting more than 2 lakh trees around the vicinity of the township merely in the past five years, we will also be inculcating the Waldorf schooling system in the township. The objective of building the stepwell is to operate the entire township with the water stored and treated from it for ages to come, ”said Sandeep Sonigra, Managing Partner, Orange County Group.

The Bhoomi pooja will be done at the hands of famous actress Sonalee Kulkarni and famous water and river conservationist Shailaja Deshpande. The construction of the stepwell is estimated to take around 3 years dividing it into 2 phases.
