Youth assaulted during New Year celebrations at FC Road resto-bar

A twenty-four-year-old person suffered injuries on the head on New Year’s Eve at the Ministry of Dance restaurant & bar, which is situated on FC Road in Pune.

As per information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, the complainant Karan Shinde was on the dance floor when he unintentionally knocked over a piece of wood on a table. This incident turned into a heated dispute that ended with the owner hitting Shinde with a glass bottle.

The Shivajinagar police have registered an FIR against Malhar Shivtare, Shlok Kamte & other 2 accused of the Ministry of Dance restaurant and bar, in response to a complaint made by Shinde, a resident of Senapati Bapat Road.

After the attack, Karan Shinde needed three stitches on his head. He was admitted to a private hospital and was discharged soon.

The incident took place inside the bar on Monday, January 1, at around 3 am. An argument started when a piece of wood accidentally fell. Seemingly enraged by this, the owner & Karan Shinde got into a heated argument that soon got out of hand.

A heated argument ensued during which the owner became enraged and struck Shinde in the head with an empty glass bottle. During the confrontation, threats were also made to Shinde’s friends.

A case has been registered under Sections 324, 34, and 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
