Benrushen Minthing Lemo, a 26-year-old independent tattoo artist from Kohima, Nagaland, filed a police report (FIR) at the Kondhwa police station in Pune, following an unsettling incident in which he described a violent attack on himself and his friends.

Lemo lives with his spouse in Shivnerinagar, Kondhwa. The incident happened at Achin’s hotel, which is not far from his home, on Thursday, December 28, at 8:30 p.m.

As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, three boys on a scooter, who were not identified, approached Benrushen’s friends Chingthu Pom and Boto Sumi while they were having tea at the hotel. One of the attackers slapped Chingthu on the cheek without warning, setting off a barrage of insults.

The situation worsened when more of the accused’s friends showed up and hotel owner Achin attempted to step in. The complainant and his friends were subjected to verbal and physical abuse by them, with one of them brandishing a wooden stick. Chingthu received a blow to the forehead, and Boto suffered a cut and bleeding face from a stone thrown at him.
