Zomato’s CEO Deepinder Goyal shares the moment he realized he was destined to marry his wife
Zomato’s CEO, Deepinder Goyal, recounted the tale of his first encounter with his wife, Grecia Munoz, while guesting on The Kapil Sharma Show.
“I was single for a long time. My friends would often set me up on dates but always warned me not to take things too seriously. When Grecia arrived in Delhi, a friend called me and said, ‘There’s a girl here you must meet,’ adding, ‘You’ll end up marrying her.’ It was funny because he was usually the one advising me not to settle down. I met her, and the rest, as they say, is history,” says Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal on the Kapil Sharma show.
One of the recent episodes of the great Indian Kapil Sharma show featured Deepinder Goyal, CEO of Zomato. The episode showcased a remarkable array of guests, featuring Infosys founder Narayana Murthy, author Sudha Murthy, Deepinder Goyal, and Grecia.
The discussion shifted to home life, with Kapil playfully asking, “Did Grecia attempt to prepare the traditional ‘first rasoi’ meal as a newlywed?” Deepinder promptly chimed in, “Cooking is off-limits in our household. We prefer to order food.”
His witty response drew applause and laughter, perfectly suited for the CEO of one of India’s top food delivery companies.
The discussion became animated when Kapil inquired if Grecia had a fondness for Punjabi food. Her expression brightened as she responded, “I adore Indian cuisine for its variety.” Archana Puran Singh, Kapil’s co-host, chimed in, curious about her preferred dish. With a grin, Grecia answered, “Chole Bhature”.
